Video Part 2, 3, and 4

Vince Romaniello has completed and uploaded parts 2, 3, and 4 of a documentary video he made about me and my work. You need broadband to watch it. While you're on Vince's site, be sure to check out his paintings, too! (By the way, that's me making the cappuccino in the video.)

Hello Douglas,
I enjoyed Vince Romaniello's lens on you, and your studio practice--real nice. I also like what you said about how a work exists, or doesn't exist, or isn't ready to exist within the frame of a particular mind, state or moment; that maybe (my mixing extrapolation) it's a matter of when everything gets slowed, what also falls apart is a grip, what we call the what we know, that 'in light of all those things’ a recognition loosens, or motors off back to indistinguishing, until, slowly, another frequency brings something into focus and attention, like how it works, you know, with that kind of theater prop (what’s it called). However, turning on the lights all at once would wreck the show.
I caught the movies going past Chris Ashley’s site, where I’m a frequent visitor and then Vince’s and then the movies. And I said, yeah, I know that guy’s stuff. I had taken a good look at it at minus and read a blog essay sometime ago maybe at Libby’s blog (?), I can’t remember. Anyway good work—good mind.
